American Indian horn with raised carved snake encircling the horn from the bottom to the top of the neck. The tip is carved into a measuring cup or powder measure which is threaded into the neck of the horn (like a screw tip horn). The horn shows wear with usage, as noted on the snakes head and body on the wear side. The base plug is of pine, which was painted with three different coats of paint during it's use, two different shades of grey and one of turquoise blue. The strap is a colorful homespun piece.
