This piece has an American cherry full stock with a nice curved drop to the butt. There is a fine shell carving on the wrist behind the tang giving it much character. The round barrel has no markings, measures 43 & 5/16″ long and may be American made. The original flint lock is a French model 1717 and the trigger guard is from a British Sea service musket. All other brass mountings such as the side plate, butt plate and ram rod pipes are American. It has it’s original steel ram rod. Overall length of the gun is 59 & 1/4″.
