Jacob Kuchenreiter pistol

This pistol was made by the nephew of Johann Christoph Kuchenreiter. It is very similar in construction to the pair of pistols by Johann listed on this site, although smaller in size, having a 6.5 inch barrel. It is signed on the top of the barrel; ” J. C. Kuchenreiter”. He was court arms maker of FURSTEN VON THURM UND TAXIS. This pistol is made around 1780 and was converted to percussion in the 1800’s.
